About Us
The Dunbartonshire Disabililty Sports Club (DDSC) was founded in 2010 following a public consultation that asked parents and carers of local children with additional support needs if there was enough opportunities for their children to be physically active being delivered currently in West Dunbartonshire and beyond.
That day brought together a group of people who were all dealing with the challenges of living with a family member or members experiencing a disability and brought a realisation that the best way to support the children they were caring for to be more active, healthier and more engaged in their community was to create these opportunities themselves.
As a result the DDSC weekly physical sessions were created for children and young people affected by physical disability.
